Dan Xu

Dan Xu is an experienced data science professional with a strong background in data analysis and statistical modeling. Currently serving as a Data Science Intern at Baylor College of Medicine since January 2020, Dan has explored and manipulated complex DNA sequence datasets using R, and developed statistical models for non-invasive prenatal testing. Previously, Dan worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Houston-Downtown, where data mining and preparation were conducted for over 10 million data points. Earlier experience as a Tax Service Specialist at TaxFree Shopping, Ltd involved analyzing sales tax return transactions to derive actionable insights about customer behavior. Dan holds a Master's degree in Data Analytics from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
