Min Cai

Min Cai is an experienced Data Scientist and Analytical Chemist II at the Medical University of South Carolina, specializing in lipid analysis within the Lipidomics Shared Resource since October 2016. Min has developed machine learning models for lipid concentration predictions and risk analyses, significantly contributing to operational efficiencies for global pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. Prior experience includes serving as a Quality Control Chemist II at LGC Standards, where Min led the establishment of quality data systems for a new product line, and as an Adjunct Faculty at the College of Charleston, teaching undergraduate chemistry. Min's academic credentials include a PhD in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s in Analytical Chemistry from Wuhan University, and a Bachelor’s in Applied Chemistry from Central China Normal University. Currently pursuing an Online Master's in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Min is focused on the Data Science track.
