Troy Carter

Troy Carter is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in technology licensing, journalism, and military service. As the Technology Licensing Manager at TechLink since April 2017, Troy facilitates the identification of emerging technologies developed by DOD and VA scientists, fostering intellectual property agreements to enhance the US economy and innovation. Prior to this role, Troy worked as a journalist for the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, earning recognition for election coverage, and as a freelance reporter while studying at the American University in Cairo, where reporting focused on significant political events like the January 25 uprising in Egypt. Troy’s military experience as a Sergeant in the US Army's 10th Mountain Division included deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government from the American University of Beirut and a Bachelor of Arts from the American University in Cairo.
