Michael Matthews

Michael Matthews has extensive experience in the fields of engineering and music technology. Currently serving as an Associate Engineer/IT at Technical Multimedia Design, Inc. since August 2014, Michael previously worked as a Sound Programmer at Independently Thinking Music, where contributions included programming and editing NI Kontakt sampler instruments and assisting film composer John Powell on projects such as Rio 2 and How to Train Your Dragon 2. Michael also gained valuable skills as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine from September 2011 to June 2013. Michael holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Music from the University of California, Irvine, and dual degrees—a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music Technology and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science—from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
