Omer Horvitz

Omer Horvitz has been serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Techmeme since November 2007. Prior to this role, Omer worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from January 2001 to April 2007, and as a Research Associate at IBM Almaden Research Center, Haifa Research Lab from 2000 to 2001. Omer holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, obtained between 1998 and 2007, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, received between 1994 and 1998.
