Jakub Galka

Jakub Galka has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jakub is currently working as an R&D Engineering Director (Europe) at Pex since February 2023. Prior to this, Jakub co-founded and advised Techmo sp. z o.o. since January 2013. Jakub also worked at AGH University of Science and Technology, starting as a Scientific Assistant from November 2004 to December 2008, and then became an Assistant Professor and Lecturer from December 2004 until their current position.

Jakub has also served as a Research and Development Director at Edentify Live from October 2019 until December 2022, where they were responsible for planning and supervising AI research and development, as well as hands-on work with audio and AI/ML using Python and C++. Jakub was also involved in management of the EU POIR 1.1.

In addition, Jakub has worked as an Expert at the Innovation Coach Program since June 2020. Jakub helped entrepreneurs in the field of R&D&I by understanding their needs, identifying innovation potential, and advising on R&D works and capital raising strategies using EU funds.

Throughout their career, Jakub has also provided consultancy and advisory services to organizations such as Dronn.com as a Technology & Innovation Consultant and Board Advisor from October 2011 to December 2020, and BFirst.Tech as the CTO from September 2018 to October 2019.

Furthermore, Jakub's experience includes a brief stint as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in October to December 2013.

Jakub Galka obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from AGH University of Krakow. Jakub attended the university from 1998 to 2003.
