John Fanidis has a diverse range of work experience in the software development field. John currently works as a Lead Software Engineer at TechNative Software Services, where they specialize in frontend engineering using React, Typescript, and GraphQL. In this role, they also organize and interviews candidates for web and mobile development positions. In addition, John is the Founder of Studio VN21, an independent story publishing studio that focuses on creating original stories in new formats. Prior to their current roles, John worked as a Frontend Developer at Exandia, where they played a key role in redesigning Transportation Management Systems using modern web technologies. John also has experience as a Freelance Mobile Application Developer, working on individual projects using native languages and cross-platform frameworks. Earlier in their career, John worked as a Full Stack Developer at Yummy Software and Services, specializing in server design and development using Node.js and Apache.
John Fanidis attended the University of Macedonia from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a degree in Applied Informatics with a focus on Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications. In May 2019, they completed a course on Modern React with Redux through Udemy. John further enhanced their skills by completing certifications in Responsive Web Design, JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures, and Front End Libraries through freeCodeCamp in 2021 and 2022. More recently, in March 2022, they completed certification courses on Introduction to State Machines with XState and React, as well as Portfolio MASTERCLASS - UX/UI case studies, both through Udemy. Additionally, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services in December 2022.
