Chance McColl

VP at Technical Data Analysis

Dr. Chance McColl has 28 years of experience as an aircraft loads engineer. He serves as Vice President of TDA, overseeing TDA’s loads engineering (fixed wing, rotary wing, UAS) and software development efforts, including the development of a number of engineering applications for US military, gov’t, international, and industry clients. Dr. McColl has been with TDA since 2001. Prior to that, he was a lead loads engineer both at Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Dr. McColl received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his MS and PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech. Since 2015, Dr. McColl is also a Part-time Lecturer at Georgia Tech’s School of Aerospace Engineering, teaching courses such as Rotorcraft Design, System Dynamics and Vibration, Control System Analysis and Design, Flight Dynamics, Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, and Statics. Since 2004, Dr. McColl has taught 20+ aircraft loads/fatigue test/spectra short courses for clients such as the US Air Force, the US Navy, and industry.
