Ty Connell

Ty Connell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ty started their career as a Network Services Specialist at The University of Georgia in 1997, where they worked until 1999. After that, they joined the McCall Consulting Group as a Software Consultant from 1999 to 2000 and later became a Senior Software Consultant from 2001 to 2001.

In 2002, Ty Connell joined Technical Data Analysis Inc as a Software Engineer and worked in that role until 2009. Ty then became a Senior Software Engineer at the same company, which they held until 2015. During this time, they played a significant role in rewriting an application used by the US Navy. Ty led a team of ten in rewriting the application from Java/Oracle to a more efficient .NET framework, resulting in estimated savings of over $60 million per year.

Most recently, Ty Connell became the Director of Software Engineering at Technical Data Analysis Inc in 2022. Their current role showcases their leadership skills and expertise in software development.

Ty Connell has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from The University of Georgia. In addition to their degree, they have obtained two certifications. The first certification is in "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" from Coursera, which they acquired in December 2012. The second certification is as a "Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD)" from Sun Microsystems, which they achieved in August 2000.
