En 2022, TechnicAtome a fêté ses 50 ans. Elle compte aujourd'hui près de 1850 salariés répartis sur 8 sites en France, dont près de 85% dans le sud-est. 
TA est spécialisée dans la conception, la réalisation, la mise en service et le maintien en conditions opérationnelles des réacteurs nucléaires compacts. 
TA offre son expertise en ingénierie nucléaire au service de la propulsion navale, la recherche, la médecine nucléaire et l’énergie. 

Elle mène actuellement simultanément 3 programmes majeurs de propulsion nucléaire (SNA de type Suffren; SNLE 3ème génération et Porte-Avions Nouvelle Génération).
TA contribue également à des projets dans le domaine du nucléaire civil, avec le projet de réacteur expérimental RJH (réacteur Jules Horowitz) ou encore le projet de SMR (small modular réactor) français Nuward.
