Emma Afterman

Emma Afterman is an international higher education leader currently serving as the Director of the International Office at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. With over 15 years of experience, Emma has developed and executed initiatives and strategic partnerships to enhance international cooperation across higher education institutions in Australia, China, and Israel. Emma previously held roles including Head of International Strategy and Cooperation at the Council for Higher Education and Director of Asia Engagement at Tel Aviv University, where they focused on strengthening academic ties with Asia and managing substantial internationalization budgets. Emma completed a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2023.
