Israel Cidon

Israel Cidon has extensive experience in the field of electrical and computer engineering, having served as a Director at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute since 2023 and as an Associate Research Director at VMware. They were previously a Visiting Professor at Stanford University and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Foundation Capital. As a co-founder and CTO of several tech companies, including Actona Technologies and Sookasa, they played pivotal roles in pioneering innovations in network architectures and cloud technologies. Israel also held significant academic positions at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, including Dean of Electrical and Computer Engineering. They earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Technion in 1980.
