Steven Frankel

Steven Frankel is the Rosenblatt Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and has been a professor since graduate school. At Purdue University, where they hold a position as a Professor since 1993, they teach undergraduate and graduate courses in thermodynamics, numerical methods, and CFD, with research focused on large eddy simulations and biological flows. During a sabbatical in 2020-2021 at Quantum Machines, they researched quantum computing, exploring various qubit hardware and machine learning techniques. Passionate about coding and innovative numerical methods in CFD, Steven is particularly interested in integrating quantum computing with computational fluid dynamics.
