Michael Hotho has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of rotating equipment. Michael is currently the Chief Engineer of Rotating Equipment at Technip Energies, a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to this, Michael worked at Technip from 2013, where they held various roles including Chief Engineer of Rotating Equipment, Section Head of the Rotating Equipment Group, and Senior Principal Engineering Specialist.

Before joining Technip, Michael worked as a Mechanical Engineer Compressor Specialist at Bechtel from 2010 to 2013. Michael also had a long tenure at TECHNIP, starting in 2003, where they held roles such as Principal Specialist, Principal Specialist/Rotating Equipment, Lead Mechanical Engineer, and Lead Engineer of Rotating Equipment. Prior to TECHNIP, Michael worked as a Mechanical Engineer at E.ON in 2002, where they specialized in the design and selection of compressors and drivers for compressor stations. Michael also worked at Siemens from 1999 to 2002 as a Fact Finder, performing troubleshooting and inspections on gas turbines for power generation, as well as a Sales and Application Engineer. During their time at Siemens, they gained international experience working in countries such as Slovakia, Portugal, England, India, Egypt, Turkey, and the United States.

Michael Hotho's education history begins with their attendance at the Ernst-Barlach Gymnasium from 1978 to 1988, during which they obtained a general qualification for university entrance. Following this, from 1990 to 1996, they attended Ruhr University Bochum where they completed their Diplom degree in Mechanical Engineering (Maschinenbau). Continuing their education, Michael pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia from 1997 to 1998.
