Laurent D'Andrès has work experience in various roles and companies.
Laurent started their career at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) as a Teaching Assistant from September 2010 to January 2012.
In 2014, they joined Technicolor as a Research Intern in the Video Analysis Group. Laurent designed and implemented a machine learning application prototype for out-of-focus deblurring, which was published in IEEE Transactions on Image Processing. This prototype achieved state-of-the-art performance results.
Since 2016, they have been working at Technis. Laurent started as a Data Scientist and worked until December 2019. Laurent then became the Head of Data Science until September 2021. Currently, they hold the position of VP Engineering.
Laurent D'Andrès attended Collège de la Royale Abbaye de St-Maurice from 2004 to 2009, where they earned their Swiss maturity (High School) degree in Physics-Applied Mathematics, with a complementary option in Chemistry. Laurent then went on to pursue higher education at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). From 2009 to 2012, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Communication Systems. Following this, they continued their studies at EPFL and completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Communication Systems from 2012 to 2014.
