Fred Byron

Fred Byron has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on virtualization, storage, and research and development. Fred is currently the Chief Architect at Technologent, a global provider of IT solutions and services. Prior to this, Fred had a role as a Cloud Architect at Lockstep Technology Group. Fred also worked at Cisco as a Tech Lead in the Solid State Systems Group and at WHIPTAIL as an R&D Engineer. Fred began their career as a Systems Engineer at Pearson Education and has held various senior positions at TheAdmins, Provident Bank, and Stryker. Fred is actively seeking new opportunities in the virtualization, storage, or research and development fields.

Fred Byron attended Fordham University from 1994 to 1996, where they studied Computer Science. Fred did not obtain a degree during this time. Before attending Fordham University, Fred went to Fordham Prep, although the specific years of attendance are unknown. In addition to their formal education, Fred has obtained several certifications in the field of technology. These include the VMware VCP55 Data Center Virtualization certification from VMware, which they obtained in August 2005. Fred also obtained the Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud Certified (CC-VAD-CC) certification from Citrix in February 2019. Fred holds the Double VCP - Data Center Virtualization & Network Virtualization certification from VMware, which they obtained in November 2016. Fred also obtained the AWS Certified Developer certification from Amazon Web Services in August 2018. In November 2016, Fred obtained the VMware Certified Professional 6 - Network Virtualization certification from VMware. Lastly, Fred earned the Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V) certification from Citrix in November 2014.
