Tom Schmeltzer

Tom Schmeltzer has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Tom started out as the Executive Director and later became the Project Director at Small Fry to Go, where they implemented a STEM program that transformed the way teachers teach and students learn. Tom also served as the CEO at Technology Solutions, Inc. and as a Docent at the Georgia Aquarium. Additionally, they held managerial positions at IBM and IBM Education Systems, and was the IICD Director at Oakland Schools.

Tom Schmeltzer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a focus on Mathematics & Music from Northern Michigan University, where they studied from 1965 to 1969. Tom then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of Michigan, completing their studies from 1969 to 1973.
