Sarah Hackfort

Sarah Hackfort is a researcher and consultant specializing in agriculture and food system transformation, climate policy, sustainability, and the bioeconomy. Currently an Associate Fellow at the Agricultural & Food Policy Group and a Principal Public Policy Consultant at Technopolis Group, they focus on green economy initiatives and climate policies. Previously, Sarah served as Head of Research for Sustainability and Transformation at IZT and held various research fellowships and lecturer positions, including roles at El Colegio de México and Freie Universität Berlin. With a PhD in Social Sciences and Economics from Universität Kassel, their work addresses social inequalities and the political dimensions of climate change.
