Alex Bird

Alex Bird is a seasoned recruitment professional with extensive experience in the IT and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Lead Contract Consultant at TechShack since October 2023, Alex has rejoined forces with former colleagues to expand services across the UK and Europe, playing a pivotal role as the first employee in collaboration with the Co-Founders. Prior to this, Alex held the position of Associate Director at Opus Recruitment Solutions from October 2018 to September 2023, where a successful London freelance market was built from the ground up, resulting in over 150 contract placements. Previous roles at Opus included Managing Consultant, Principal Recruitment Consultant, Senior Recruitment Consultant, and Recruitment Consultant, establishing strong relationships with clients and contractors in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. Sales experience was also garnered earlier at WORKPLACE DRINK SOLUTIONS LTD, SIMPLY FASCIA LIMITED, and Advanced Green Technology Ltd. Alex's educational background includes studies at South Essex College of Further and Higher Education.
