User Experience Team Lead at TechSmith

Eric Pearson started their work experience in 2005 as a College Marketing Representative for A.D.D. Marketing. Eric worked to increase brand awareness among college-aged individuals by coordinating with local businesses and campus organizations for promotional events. Eric also delivered presentations and public relations speeches to large groups.

In 2008, Eric worked as a Learning and Education Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they provided a theoretical framework for applying game mechanics to a new digital training environment. Eric connected game-based training to company goals and applied learning theories to incorporate game-based learning into existing training programs.

From 2009 to 2010, Eric worked as a Developer at Virtual University Design and Technology.

In 2010, Eric joined TechSmith Corporation as a User Experience Designer. Eric'sresponsibilities included creating user-centered workflows and in-product assets for various TechSmith products. Eric conducted user research using methods such as diary studies, interviews, and observations to improve user efficiency and overall product satisfaction. Eric also collaborated with development teams and stakeholders to maintain a unified design vision. Eric later took on the role of User Experience Team Lead in 2017.

Eric Pearson obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media from Michigan State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business from 1997 to 2002. Additionally, Eric Pearson obtained the SAFe 4.0 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2017.
