Otto Schnurr has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Otto began their career at Motorola Labs in 1995, where they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer, collaborating with linguists and engineers to develop a high-quality text-to-speech system. Otto then joined Auvo Technologies in 2000 as a Mobile Voip Engineer and led a team in delivering voice and text chat in the company's first prototype. In 2001, Otto joined Midway Games as an Animation Engine Developer and played a key role in refactoring and extending the company's proprietary animation engines. Otto later moved to DigitalFish as an Animation Tools Engineer, where they improved workflow and implemented animation functionality in the Reflex animation tool. In 2009, they became an Independent Software Developer and designed, implemented, and released Short List, an iPhone application. Most recently, Otto has been working at TechSmith Corporation since 2010 as a Technical Lead for iOS Software, overseeing the collaboration with web and Android developers and personally implementing various features for iOS applications.
Otto Schnurr has a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Otto also has completed Advanced Studies in Character Animation at Animation Mentor. In addition, they hold a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates, obtained in August 2016.
