James Taylor has a diverse work experience, having worked in a variety of roles in different industries since 2013. James started their career as a Bar Manager at Ye Olde Poppe Inn, where they quickly progressed from a kitchen porter to a bar manager. During their time there, they gained an understanding of business through being involved in weekly stock orders and their discipline, attention to detail and ability to be a leader was demonstrated by the bar receiving three consecutive 100% scores in inspections undertaken by Hall and Woodhouse Ltd.

In 2019, James Taylor took on a Research Assistant role at the University of Southampton, where they completed three highly competitive Excel internships and integrated within an international multi-disciplinary research group based at the National Oceanography Centre. James also worked as a Hospitality Assistant at Pod Staffing, a Bartender at SWITCH CLUB SOUTHAMPTON LIMITED and Stock Assistant at Lidl GB.

In 2020, they took on the role of Retail Assistant at Dartington Trust, and Bartender at The Old Inn, where they demonstrated organisation and problem solving by dealing with the challenges presented by Covid-19 to the hospitality sector.

Most recently, in 2021, James Taylor began working as a Business Development Executive and Senior Sales Executive at Techspert, where they are responsible for the delivery of their services to consultancies within the US and EU. James is driving new logo growth and managing and nurturing existing relationships to maximize revenue. James is also overseeing the account-led sales strategy across the consultancy and corporate verticals while continuing to develop business in new biotech and marketing and advertising.

James Taylor obtained a Gold and Silver award from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in March 2016. In April 2016, they obtained a Personal License from Hall & Woodhouse Ltd. In October 2014, they obtained a Full Clean Drivers License from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). In March 2015, they obtained a Bar and Cellar Maintenance certification from Hall & Woodhouse Ltd. From 2016 to 2020, James Taylor studied Geology/Earth Science, General at the University of Southampton, where they earned a degree in Geology.
