Phong Tran currently serves as President and CEO of SirnaMed Therapeutics Inc. since May 2024. Tran has extensive experience in biopharma research and development, functioning as a consultant for Techspert and previously holding the position of Interim CEO at Bound Therapeutics. In a role as Senior Director at WuXi AppTec, Tran contributed to RNA pharmacology by optimizing study designs for clients’ drug targets. Tran's background includes founding Director of Biotech Biopharma Business Development at Alfa Wassermann and research positions involving rare genetic diseases at Regulus Therapeutics and Ionis Pharmaceuticals. Tran began a career with roles in pharmacology and research at Arena Pharmaceuticals and RespireRx Pharmaceuticals, supported by education from the US Naval School of Health Sciences, UC San Diego, and Santa Ana College.
