Steven Darby

Steven Darby serves as the Creative Director at Heavy Heavy since May 2013, overseeing creative direction and visual communication assets while managing accounts, budgeting, and business development. As a Mentor at Techstars since January 2015, Steven provides guidance on visual and written communication to founders and staff. Prior roles include Hackstar at TechStars, where Steven supported teams with UI and logo design, as well as freelance experience as an Art Director and Graphic Designer focusing on marketing materials and workflow strategies. Steven has held various design positions at Toolbox Studios, Borelli Holland, Arthur Agency, 1187creative, and JUICE/Avista Products, consistently contributing to creative concepts, design execution, and brand strategy. Steven holds a degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
