Umer Chohan

Umer Chohan has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Umer started their career as a .Net Developer at Beyond Vision in 2006, where they developed an Account System for Cotton and worked on a module of the Cotton and Cotton Point of Sale application.

Umer then joined Optimal Solutions PK as a Junior .Net Developer in 2007, where they developed database-driven web applications using the ASP.Net 2.0 Framework and MS SQL Server 2000. Umer also worked on developing Dynamic Custom Modules for Dotnetnuke 4 during their time there.

In 2007, Umer moved on to Viaduct as a Software Engineer, where they developed e-commerce websites with PayPal and FedEx integration using the ASP.Net 2.0 Framework and MS SQL Server 2000.

From 2008 to 2009, Umer worked as a Team Lead at TechnoSys, where they led multiple teams working on .Net 3.5 technologies such as WPF and Entity Framework. Umer also developed a Multi Level Marketing System and created web services and windows services for a complete SMS solution.

In 2009, Umer joined 10Pearls as a Technical Lead. Their responsibilities included documenting system design and architecture and developing an Android code generator. Umer also developed Code Smith templates during their time there.

Umer then joined Bol Network in 2012 as a Software Architect. Umer addressed technical issues faced by the team while working on audio compression and image matching algorithms. Umer also led both mobile and web development teams and was responsible for documenting system design and architecture.

In 2015, Umer returned to 10Pearls as a Software Architect. Umer continued to address technical issues and document system design and architecture until their departure in 2018.

From 2017 to 2019, Umer worked at BOL Network as the Vice President.

Finally, in 2019, Umer joined Techstirr as the Chief Technology Officer.

Umer Chohan completed their education in a chronological sequence. Umer started by attending Saint Micheal Convent School from 1989 to 2001, where they obtained their O Level degree with a focus on Maths, Computer, and Physics.

After that, they enrolled in City School from 2001 to 2003, where they completed their A Level degree with a specialization in Maths and Physics.

Later, from 2003 to 2007, Umer Chohan joined Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology for their Bachelor's degree. Umer pursued a degree in Computer Science during this period.

Following that, they pursued further education at the same institution, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, from 2011 to 2012. During this time, they obtained a Master's degree in Computing.

In addition to their formal education, Umer Chohan also obtained various certifications. Umer received the MCPD - Web Developer certification from Microsoft in January 2009 and the MCTS - .Net Framework 2.0, Web Applications certification from Microsoft in October 2008.

Moreover, they earned several awards from Codility, including the Golden Award Titanium in August 2016, Golden Award Scandium in April 2016, Codility Golden Award for the Boron 2013 Challenge in October 2013, and Codility Silver Certificate for the Lithium 2013 Challenge in August 2013.
