Ignacio Pavez

Ignacio Pavez is a condition monitoring specialist for the autonomous fleet at Teck Resources Limited, with a strong background in mine maintenance engineering. Since April 2019, Ignacio has focused on improving the reliability of mobile equipment and enhancing maintenance performance across both autonomous and conventional fleets. Previous roles include mine maintenance planning engineer at the Integrated Operations Center, where responsibilities included long-term planning of equipment component replacements and implementing asset strategies in Maximo EAM. Ignacio began as a graduate mechanical engineer at Thiess, supporting reliability and maintenance projects, and has experience in various academic and practical engineering roles, including mechanical engineering and teaching assistant positions. Ignacio holds a diploma in asset management, reliability, and maintenance from Universidad de Chile, alongside a mechanical engineering degree from Universidad de Concepción, complemented by a recent diploma in mining technology from Finning.
