Simon Yu is a Principal Metallurgist at Teck Alaska Incorporated and has been a Senior Mining/Process Engineer at the National Research Council Canada since 2015. Previously, Simon held the position of Chief Metallurgist at Teck Highland Valley Copper from 2013 to 2015, and served as a Senior Mill Metallurgist there from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, Simon was a Senior Project Metallurgist at Xstata Process Support from 2005 to 2010 and worked as a Process Engineer at BHP Engineering China/Hatch Consulting Company Ltd from 1998 to 2000. Simon holds a B.Eng in Mineral Process Engineering from Central South University and a M.Sc in Mineral Engineering from Laurentian University.
