Ryan Gerst began their work experience in 2012 as an Industrial Engineer Intern at Douglas Laboratories, where they led data collection and analysis efforts for changeover times in production machinery, implemented improvement efforts, and utilized SQL skills to enhance the product database. In 2013, they continued their internship at Douglas Laboratories as an Industrial Engineering Intern, where they implemented a lean manufacturing organizational structure and led data collection and analysis for production and set-up times. Also in 2013, they participated in a Senior Capstone Research Project at Penn State University, focusing on developing optimal drilling parameters for materials. In 2015, Gerst worked as an Industrial/Process Engineer at Wayne Automation Corporation, where they developed production standards, led data collection and analysis efforts to improve processing time, and managed production and supply chain processes using an ERP system. Ryan then transitioned to Tecolote Research the same year as a Business Data Analyst, supporting senior personnel through program management and providing technical and financial analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
Ryan Gerst completed their education at Penn State University from 2009 to 2014. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering. Additionally, during their time at Penn State University, they pursued a minor in Six Sigma. Prior to attending the university, Ryan Gerst obtained their High School Diploma from Baldwin High School, where their field of study is not specified.
