Steve Sasser is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the software and consulting industries. As a co-founder and managing principal at Swordstone Partners since 2016, Sasser provides strategic and operational guidance to privately owned software companies. Sasser has served on several boards, including as a board member at Tecsys Inc. since 2009 and Cadient Talent from 2019 until its acquisition in August 2023. Previous leadership roles include co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Merlin Technologies and Assess Systems, as well as CEO and president at Peopleclick, where a successful transition to a SaaS model was achieved. Sasser was also CEO and president of SYMIX/Frontstep, driving significant revenue growth and customer expansion. Sasser's earlier career includes vice president positions at Trilogy and LEGENT/GOAL SYSTEMS, and director of corporate development at UCCEL. Sasser holds an MBA and BBA from the SMU Cox School of Business, completed between 1967 and 1974.
