Michael Porter has a vast work experience that spans across different sectors. Michael has held various positions in different companies, starting as a Co-Head of the "Old Gym" Student Theater in Bard College, where they managed groups in implementing the physical requirements of professional stage lighting designs. Michael also worked as a Stage Electrician in Bard College, where they worked with well-established companies like the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and American Ballet Theatre.

In addition, they worked as a Lighting Designer for their self-employed theatre design company. Michael also worked as an Apprentice Electrician in Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Furthermore, they worked as a Social Media Intern at Product Evaluations, Inc, where they managed online social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Michael also co-founded BrewCrate, a homebrewing subscription service where they designed recipes, packed boxes, and developed new business partnerships. Michael also worked as a Developer at Stackpop where they implemented new features and refactored old designs in Ruby, Rails, and Javascript.

Furthermore, they were employed as a Software Engineer and Team Lead in MediaMath. In this role, they led development of MediaMath's consumer-facing integration with Facebook's FBX platform and served as a line manager for a team of talented engineers.

Michael also served as Chief Technology Officer in two companies. In Hi Clark, they built the first version of the Clark product, an interactive chatbot for independent tutors, developed the architectural strategy, and technical requirements for the second version, a SaaS platform for tutoring centers. While in Noodle Pros, they served as Chief Technology Officer.

Michael'srecent employment is in TeePublic, where they started as an Engineering Manager, then Director of Engineering, Marketplace, before they became the Senior Director of Engineering in 2022.

Michael Porter attended Fenwick High School from 2003 to 2007. Michael received no degree or field of study from this school. Michael then attended Bard College from 2007 to 2011 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature.
