John North is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in investigative reporting and editorial leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Investigative Producer at TEGNA since December 2014, John is part of the management team responsible for a public affairs program and has a strong track record in identifying and executing investigative projects while mentoring younger staff. Prior to TEGNA, John held various editorial positions at the Knoxville News Sentinel, including Metro Editor overseeing a 15-member staff and managing breaking news coverage. John's career also includes roles at CNN as a Writer and Copy Editor, as well as reporting for the Knoxville News Sentinel and The Kansas City Star. John holds a Bachelor's Degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, complemented by additional education from Florida State University.
