Luc Bertin

Luc Bertin has over 20 years of professional experience in software development. Luc began their career in 1998 as a Software Designer at NBtel, where they improved the response time of the Internet customer care system from minutes down to seconds. In 2000, they joined Cognos and worked as a Software Developer on the Report Server, Cognos Portal and Upfront Portal. Luc's work included improving the performance and scalability of components by orders of magnitude, developing zero impact performance monitoring tools, and receiving awards and patents. In 2008, they moved to IBM Canada and worked as a Senior Software Developer on Containerization (K8s & ICP) and WA & WASM. Luc's role included creating Docker images, splitting applications into different pods, and triaging bugs. In 2018, they founded Tehama.io and served as Lead and Senior Software Developer. Luc's roles included measuring and maintaining platform up time, improving error detections, integrating Honeycomb, deploying Refinery, and building dashboards.

Luc Bertin attended Universit\u00e9 de Moncton from 1994 to 1998 where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
