George Tom is a Principal Engineer at Tejas Networks since August 2008, focusing on the FPGA team within the Ethernet Products Group. In addition, George serves as Guest Faculty at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, overseeing lab sessions for the Reconfigurable Computing course since March 2021. George is a member of the Kenneth Anderson Nature Society, having held positions such as Secretary from 2016 to 2022 and Director-Projects from 2012 to 2016. Previous experience includes an internship with the DFT team at ST Microelectronics in 2008. George holds a Master of Technology in Microelectronics and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, along with a Higher Secondary Education in Electronics from Model Technical Higher Secondary School.
