Sam Darr

Sam Darr is a Systems Engineering and Design graduate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a diverse range of experiences in project management and engineering. Notable projects include the Covid-19 Cafeteria Safety Project "AutoCafe," which developed an automated food delivery system, and a senior design project at Timberline Fisheries focused on optimizing cricket feeding processes through lean principles. Sam has held roles such as a Quality Assurance Associate at Tekky Design and a Project Management Intern at Chicago Scenic Studios, where responsibilities included assisting project managers and researching design options. Additional experience includes working as an MEP Engineering Intern at WT Group, where Sam contributed to mechanical and electrical design projects. As Operations Process Manager for Pioneer Karmel Korn and Pork Skins, Sam oversees the preparation and sale of specialty snacks at historical events. Active involvement in Alma's Talking Dogs further showcases Sam's commitment to innovative design, focusing on creating devices that enhance communication with dogs.
