Ben Viering

Ben Viering has served as the VP of Information Systems and Architecture since September 2021. Before joining Teknova, Ben served in a variety of roles at Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. (“IDT”), a global supplier of custom oligonucleotides, from 1997 to 2019. Most recently, he was VP of Business Development from August 2018 to October 2019.

Ben was general manager of IDT’s B2B unit from 2013 to 2018, where he was responsible for establishing an OEM service and growing revenue for both OEM and GMP services. Prior to that, he was VP of Software Development, responsible for custom software development for eCommerce, order-to-cash, and manufacturing execution systems. During his time at IDT, Ben also established a project management office; set up an end-to-end private label, kitting, and drop shipping services; and led the implementation of lab automation and discrete manufacturing for new manufacturing sites in the US and Asia.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems with a minor in computer science from the University of Iowa.
