Jay Almers

Jay Almers has worked in the IT industry since 2001. Jay began their career as a Web Designer at American Data Technology, Inc. In 2003, they became the Creative Services Director at NeoNova Network Services, where they developed and managed the Creative Services Department. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Web Developer and Educational Content Specialist at the UNC School of Media and Journalism. Jay then moved to UNC-TV as a Senior Web and Applications Developer from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, Jay became the Global Cloud Architect and Cloud Engineering Team Lead at ARCA Worldwide. From 2017 to 2018, they were the Principal Software Engineer at Dell EMC. In 2018, they took on the role of Director of DevOps, QA, and IT at 3C Institute. Currently, Jay is a Senior Solutions Architect in TekStream's Cloud Delivery team.

Jay Almers has a background in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jay has also obtained several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner (2022), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (2022), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (2017 and 2015).
