Jay Young

Jay Young has been working in the IT industry since 1995. Jay began their career at WhyNet Telecommunication as a Systems Support/Tech Support. In 1996, they moved to the Texas Boll Weevil Foundation as a Computer Tech/Technology and Development Department, where they supported Novell 5.1 network servers and installed and maintained NT 4. In 2000, they joined the Arkansas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation as an Application Programmer/Certified Oracle DBA. Their primary responsibilities included Oracle Database Administration/Development, Oracle Replication, Oracle Backup and Recovery, Archive Logs, RMAN, database links, Materialized View, Scripts, and Oracle Performance and Tuning. In 2009, they joined Allied Consultants as an Oracle DBA Developer. Jay updated SQL and PL/SQL statements, used EM to schedule jobs, manage user roles/privileges, database monitoring, upgraded Crystal Reports 8 to XI, and fixed ASP/JavaScript website code to work with updated reports. In 2016, they moved to Aliado Solutions, LLC. as a Splunk Certified Consultant and Consultant. Finally, in 2021, they joined TekStream Solutions as a Senior Splunk Consultant.

Jay Young obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Western Governors University between 2005 and 2009. Jay has also obtained various certifications from Splunk, including Splunk Accredited ES Implementation (2019), Splunk Accredited Consultant (2018), Splunk Accredited Core Implementation (2018), Splunk Accredited Implementation Fundamentals (2018), Splunk System Administrator (2018), Splunk Certified Power User (2018), Splunk Certified User (2018), and Splunk Core Certified User (2021).
