Michael Battles

Michael Battles has worked in the IT industry since 2006. Michael began their career at HM Health Solutions as a Business Systems Consultant, leveraging their subject matter expertise to deliver business systems analysis and consulting to the leading provider of enterprise business solutions to health plan payers. Michael designed APIs, documented solution requirements, and produced estimates for ~100 customer requests. Michael also catalogued all product features of the complete customer service application portfolio for the product owner.

In addition, Michael was the Manager of Application Development, directing teams of up to 50 developers and business analysts on multi-year projects with budgets from $1 to $50 million utilizing technologies such as mainframes, open systems, and Pega. Michael managed projects such as real-time claims adjudication and estimation delivery, real-time pharmacy benefit manager claims integration, Pega suspended claims workflow application, Pega customer relationship management (CRM) application, and IBM BPM workflow application for small department workflow improvements. Michael also oversaw the Blue Card team for the IT department, handling the conversion of Interplan Processing System (ITS) local installation from VSAM to DB2.

Most recently, Michael joined TekStream Solutions as an Integration Consultant in 2021.

Michael Battles attended Robert Morris University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration with a field of study in Computer Information Systems.
