Ron Brown

Ron Brown is a Principal Engineer at Tektronix, contributing to innovative oscilloscope design projects within the FPGA team since July 2020. Prior to this role, Ron served as Director of Software Engineering at FLIR Systems, leading a software engineering team focused on high-performance airborne imaging platforms. Ron's leadership experience at FLIR also includes roles as Software Engineering Manager and Senior Systems Software Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed designing advanced airborne imaging solutions and developing embedded software. Earlier career highlights include managing an ASIC design team at Focus Enhancements and participating in UWB radio technology developments. Ron's credentials are further supported by significant contributions to the WiMedia Alliance as a Technical Editor and various chair positions. An alumnus of the University of Portland, Ron holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering.
