Rod Elms has extensive experience in operations and leadership within the telecommunications and locating services industries. Currently serving as the VP of MSA Operations at Telcom Construction, Inc since June 2011, Rod has previously held the position of VP of Operations at ELM Companies from May 2000 to November 2010, where responsibilities included operations, sales, growth, and start-ups. Earlier in the career, Rod served as the Director of Operations at UTI Locating Services from May 1993 to May 2000, focusing on similar operational and growth-oriented initiatives.

TelCom is a specialized contractor providing construction and maintenance services to telecommunications providers throughout the United States. We take pride in being self-performing and turn-key, offering a full spectrum of services, including underground, aerial and wireless construction, engineering, project management, installation, and splicing. Through the years, we have worked on a multitude of projects including RUS projects, power installation, telecommunications construction and installation, manhole systems, cable reclamation, bridge attachments, gas distribution, and wind generation. At TelCom, we continually work to expand our workforce, geographic footprint as well as the breadth of services we provide. In addition to our headquarters in Minnesota, we have dozens of field offices across Central and Southwestern United States, from which our 400+ professionals operate.
