Gavin Henry

Gavin Henry has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Gavin currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at TelcoSwitch since July 2021. In addition, they are a Software Heritage Ambassador at Software Heritage, where they promote the universal software source code archive. Gavin is also the founder of the SentryPeer open-source project, which they started in October 2021. Gavin has demonstrated their expertise in software engineering as a podcast host for Software Engineering Radio since January 2019. Gavin has been an OSF member at OpenSIPS Software Foundation since June 2013, contributing to the development activities of the OpenSIPS project. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Team Member at OpenLDAP Project starting from May 2007. Gavin Henry also serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Station House Media Unit since November 2022, supporting community media development in Scotland. Gavin held the position of Managing Director at SureVoIP from October 2003 to July 2021, where they played a key role in managing the company. Gavin also contributed as a User and Developer for the Catalyst Project from 2005 until July 2021. Additionally, Gavin was involved in the IX Scotland Steering Committee from May 2013 to February 2017.

Gavin Henry attended Robert Gordon University from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a BEng(Hons) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Prior to that, they studied at Ellon Academy from 1990 to 1996. In 2016, Gavin Henry started studying C Programming at The University of Manchester, and their education there is ongoing.
