Karyn Barnes

Karyn Barnes has more than 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Karyn is currently serving as the Head of Marketing for Space Imaging at Teledyne e2v. Prior to this, they worked for the Department for International Trade as an Investment Project Manager, where they managed projects for companies setting up their business in the UK and supported the growth of UK-based companies. Before that, they were the Communications Lead at PA Consulting Group and PR & Marketing Manager at East of England IDB Limited. Karyn also worked as a Communications Manager at East of England International and Membership Promotion Coordinator at the Royal Society of Chemistry. Karyn started their career as a journalist and feature writer at Singapore Press Holdings.

Karyn Barnes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Faculty of Applied Science, majoring in Communications, English, and Publishing from Simon Fraser University. Karyn attended from 1990 to 1993. In 2008, they studied Effective Project Management at The Open University. Then, in 2017, they obtained a Practitioner certification from PRINCE2. Additionally, in August 2020, they earned a Bronze certification in EY Innovation - Design thinking from EY.
