Barry Hammond

Barry Hammond has over three decades of experience in satellite operations and communications, currently serving as the Senior Manager of the Satellite Control Centre at Telesat since March 1997, following roles as Manager and Team Lead. Prior to Telesat, Barry Hammond contributed as a Graphics Design and Report Handling professional at Air Command Headquarters in Winnipeg MB from August 1993 to January 1997, providing support for daily briefings. Barry Hammond's education includes a degree in Signals Development Research from the Canadian Forces School of Communications, which was completed between 1995 and 1997.
