Dwayne Chrona

Dwayne Chrona possesses extensive experience in satellite operations and management, beginning with a tenure at Telesat since March 1997. As the Manager of Lightspeed Satellite Operations Center Design & Procurement, Dwayne oversees architecture definition, requirements specification, and testing processes. Previous roles at Telesat include Satellite Operations Ground Systems Consultant, where Dwayne supported global satellite operators in system design and integration, and Transfer Orbit Services Program Manager, responsible for designing ground networks and validating network connectivity. Additionally, Dwayne managed a team of satellite controllers and operated geostationary spacecraft as a Senior Satellite Controller. Prior to Telesat, Dwayne worked at the Department of National Defence as a Signals Development Analyst specializing in communication signals intelligence. Dwayne holds a Masters Certificate in Operational Risk Management from the Schulich School of Business, York University.
