John Carr

John Carr is an accomplished RF Specialist with extensive experience in the field of satellite communications and RF design. Currently serving as a LEO Antenna/RF Specialist at Telesat since May 2021, John previously held significant roles at Esterline CMC Electronics as an RF Design Specialist and Lead Export Classifier, where responsibilities included supporting SATCOM antenna testing and engineering documentation. Prior experience includes positions as a Global Engineering Consultant at Celestica, focusing on wireless technology development, and as a Senior RF Product Designer at COM DEV Wireless Group, contributing to high-speed wireless internet base station designs. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in High Speed Integrated Circuits from Queen’s University, an M.Sc. in Antennas and Microwaves, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
