Brian Abercrombie

Brian Abercrombie has extensive experience in Information Technology and Information Security. Brian is currently the Vice President of Information Technology and Information Security Officer at TeleTracking, where they lead the IT, Information Security, and Performance Excellence functions. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Information Security Consultant at RedLegg, providing virtual CISO Advisory Services. Brian also served as a Senior Solutions Consultant at Seiso, LLC. Brian obtained their CIO Certification from Carnegie Mellon University and has held leadership positions at TriState Capital Bank and Eagle Point Technology Solutions. Brian began their career as an IT Manager and Senior Network Administrator at CoManage and later worked as the Director of Information Technology at Syndesis Ltd. and Subex. Brian also has experience in academia as an Adjunct Faculty at ITT Technical Institute.

Brian Abercrombie has a diverse education history. Brian obtained a CISO-Executive Education and Certificate Program from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy in 2022-2023. Prior to that, they completed the Chief Information Officer Certificate Program - Cohort 1 in 2019-2020 at the same institution. Brian holds an MBA degree in Information Technology from Duquesne University Palumbo Donahue School of Business, which they obtained in 1997-2000. Additionally, they earned a BSBA degree in Management Information Science and Finance from the same university in 1991-1995. Brian has completed various professional training programs, including Project Management Fundamentals for IT Projects at Riverhead Training in 2010, Microsoft Certified Product Specialist at RiverHead Training in 1995-2003, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) at Global Knowledge in 2001. Brian also holds certifications such as Certified Novell Engineer from RiverHead Training and Solaris System Performance Management (SA-400) from Sun Microsystems. Lastly, Brian has obtained several additional certifications, including CMMC-AB Registered Practitioner (RP) from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)², and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)².
