Marco Contento

Marco Contento has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Marco began their career as a Software Engineer at Telit Cinterion in 1997 and held various roles including Project Manager and Software Project Manager. In 2002, they transitioned to Product Management and worked on GSM/GPRS mobile phones and m2m modules. From 2009 to 2013, they served as the Manager of Product Management EMEA and then became the Head of Product Management. In this role, they worked closely with chipset partners, carriers, and R&D teams to define product roadmap and requirements. Marco also participated in industry working groups for LPWA cellular technologies. In 2018, they were promoted to VP, 5G Technology and most recently, in June 2022, they became the VP of Product Management for Mobile Broadband Products at Telit Cinterion. Prior to their time at Telit Cinterion, they worked as a System Analyst at DEC S.p.A from 1995 to 1997.

Marco Contento earned their M.S. in Electronic Engineering with an emphasis on automation from the Università degli Studi di Trieste. Marco attended the university from 1985 to 1991. Prior to their university studies, they completed their Diploma in Telecommunications from Istituto Tecnico Industriale A.Volta, which they attended from 1980 to 1985.
