Mark Grennan

Mark Grennan has worked in various roles since 2012. Mark started as a Mathematics and Further Mathematics Teacher at Bodmin College in 2012, followed by a Mathematics and Applied Mathematics Teacher at St David's Secondary School in 2013. In 2016, they moved to Sandford Park School as a Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and IT Teacher. In 2019, they joined Telnyx as a Software Engineer, working with Elixir and Python. Mark worked on a small three-person team developing edge-related infrastructure, managing services that handled upwards of 15k r/sec during peak hours. Mark then switched roles to work on an eight-person R&D team developing the Wireless product, primarily using Elixir and Phoenix. Finally, they worked on a team of four maintaining and developing backend services related to payments, pricing and fraud detection.

Mark Grennan has a diverse educational background. Mark began their studies at Gonzaga College from 2000 to 2006. Mark then went on to pursue a BSc in Mathematical Science at University College Dublin from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Oxford from 2011 to 2012. Most recently, they completed an MSc in Computer Science at Trinity College Dublin from 2018 to 2019.
