Mike Sumner

Mike Sumner is a seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in strategic sourcing and category management across multiple sectors, including telecommunications, media, and beverages. Currently serving as Procurement Manager for Field Services at Telstra since June 2013, Mike leads a team to address all Field Services needs within the company. Previously, Mike held various procurement leadership roles at Telstra, collaborating closely with the Chief Marketing Office to develop supplier strategies and drive savings initiatives. Prior to Telstra, Mike worked at Optus as Category Manager for Media, Marketing, and Events, and at Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd as Procurement Manager and Infrastructure Services Manager, where strategic sourcing and IT infrastructure management were key responsibilities. Mike’s career began at PwC and PriceWaterhouse, where management of IT audits and consulting engagements laid the groundwork for a successful procurement trajectory.
