Telstra
Steven Worrall is Telstra InfraCo’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), joining the company in September 2025. Steven is responsible for managing, developing and expanding Telstra’s extensive infrastructure portfolio, building the digital infrastructure that underpins Australia’s economy. In this role, Steven also serves as the chair of Amplitel and is responsible for Telstra International.
Prior to joining Telstra, Steven spent 11 years at Microsoft – first as the Director of the Enterprise and Partner Group before becoming the Managing Director of Microsoft Australia and New Zealand in January 2017. As Corporate Vice President ANZ, he ensured the company met the needs of its clients and the more than 10,000 partners and independent software vendors that sold or built on the Microsoft platform in Australia and New Zealand.
Before Microsoft, Steven worked at IBM for 22 years in various marketing, sales and general management roles. In his last role at IBM, he led the company’s software business in Asia Pacific region where he built organisational capability and drove the business towards more cloud delivered services.
Steven is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, with a particular focus on improving Indigenous inclusion and addressing wellbeing and mental health in the workplace. He is the founding Chair of Corporate Mental Health Alliance in Australia and was one of Microsoft's inaugural Global Indigenous Employee Resource Group Executive co-sponsors. Steven is also committed to a sustainable and inclusive future, and is a founding member of the Climate Leaders Coalition in Australia and is Chair of the New South Wales Skills Board.
Steven holds an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and lives in Sydney with his wife and three children.
